New Beginnings

imageHello there! What a beautiful day to serve the Lord! It is the beginning of a new day and a new blog.

While creating this blog, I was thinking about beginnings. A lot of times, myself included, people are so excited to begin something, they never consider the consequences, whether good or bad. They keep going at it until there’s a “bump in the road”, as the old expression goes. Then discouragement enters in, and the project slowly but surely is abandoned.

Not to sound depressing or anything!

But I have great news! If you are a believer in Christ, you know what I’m talking about. When Jesus was faced with death at Calvary, He could have called legions of angels from Heaven to save Him, and had the people destroyed, but He didn’t! You see, Jesus loved us SO MUCH, that He went all the way through to conquer death, hell, and the grave! Jesus rose again to give us a new life and a second chance at having a relationship with God.

So when I think of beginnings, I think of the day I was born again. Oh, what a wonderful day that was! But it doesn’t stop there.

As the song goes, “I keep falling in love with Him over and over and over and over again! He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by, oh what a love between the Lord and I!”

So to those who are trying to decide if they should start a relationship with the Lord, I can say it is THE BEST thing that ever happened to me! No, it doesn’t make life problem-free, and no, it isn’t a flowery bed of ease. You still have your share of trials, but it is a comfort to know that you can “Cast all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you.” (First Peter 5:7)

My apologies for the rather lengthy post. There is so much more I can say, but unfortunately, it will have to wait for another time. Please share your thoughts on any “new beginnings” you’ve experienced. Have a blessed day!

  1. Nicely written, sis! The past year has brought many new beginnings for both of us; a new home, a new church building, a new sibling, and a renewed ferver and dedication in the church for serving the Lord. Thank God for the many recent testimonies, and for the ones to come! We are looking forward to the latter rain to refresh the faith, power, and unity of the Bride. I believe it is beginning to drizzle! 🙂

(By the way, first comment! 😉 And my username comes from Romans 8:37)
