Weekend Adventures

Greetings and salutations (as Eugene Meltsener in Adventures in Odyssey would say). Today is such a beautiful day, yes? “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”        ~Psalm 118:24

Saturday was a stay-at-home kind of day. We got some things around the house and the outside done. One of the manure piles in our pasture got leveled down (real exciting, right? At least it looks a lot better!) Well, Mr. D asked me for my iPod to take a few pictures of the bulldozer so here’s a pic for y’all.

Later that evening, my grandma and I went to the dollar store to get some stuff to make my picture board for my graduation party. And then when I came home, my dad and I went to get some milk. We get raw milk, and it is really good!

Sunday, a missionary and his family came to our church, and he ministered that morning on “Send Me/Influence”. I appreciate that sermon because it reminded me that our lives speak louder than words, and that as Christians, whatever we do or say is the voice of God speaking to lives around us. Help me, Lord, to keep my life focused on You, and to live my life for others! There was also a slideshow presentation that was very interesting. I love seeing the culture of other places that the Word of God is being spread to! I am thankful for people who are willing to go places that I can’t.

Here is the outfit I wore for church yesterday.

  • Shoes: Five & Below
  • Necklace: Christian Book Distributors
  • Chambray: Thrifted
  • Shirt: Thrifted
  • Skirt: Gabriel Brothers

So, I hope you enjoyed the post. What are your thoughts on mission work?

  1. I am very thankful that we can support these missions! It is great to see the footage of the mission work from places like Nicuragua and Mexico. Sometimes I think that America needs missionaries. (Although we are those missionaries) 😉

  2. I am so thankful that there are people out there who are willing to serve God as missionaries. It is a service that is most giving…giving up luxuries like tiled or carpeted floors or in some cases even running water! There’s different foods & bugs & miles of traveling also to deal with. All that others may know the Love of Jesus! May God Bless each missionary and keep them in the palm of His hand and under His wing.💜
