Monday. Most people dread that word. It was a fairly good Monday, though. For us, it started out getting up early-ish to go over to my aunt’s and help prepare a brunch that we were having for the missionary and his family. The meal consisted of breakfast burritos, breakfast pizza, breakfast muffins, and cottage berry whip (THM recipe). All low carb. Most people there were low-carbers, so that kinda makes sense. Sorry, I neglected to take a picture of the scrumptious brunch! 😒
Later, at home, I worked on a couple lectures in my photography course. I have learned quite a bit about shutter speeds, aperture, lighting, ISO, white balance, and many other different things necessary to make great pictures! I can’t enjoy shooting on auto ever again. I LOVE shooting in manual! I like choosing how my photos look, instead of the camera being in charge. I try to make them look as professional as possible without editing.
Anyway, around six, my brother, Mr. C had baseball practice. Two of our cousins are on the same team. Practice was held at my uncle’s home due to all the fields being in use. It went very well!… Until the thunder storm came. The End of baseball practice!
My uncle and aunt have several animals as well! Cows, cats (including a new batch of 4 kittens. I only have pictures of two.), a bunny, and a dog.
Thank God for missionaries! Most people think of them as people that go to countries like Mexico (which the family that came does go there!) or places like Africa and South America, which is great, but the Bible says ,”Go yet into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” ~Mark 16:15. The message is simple: go and preach. Our lives are sermons we preach to others. What is your life preaching? Is it a false doctrine, or the Gospel of Jesus Christ? So, who do we preach to? Not everyone can afford to go to those places, neither is everyone called to do so. The answer? All the world. That includes your hometown. Your family, friends, and neighbors. Strangers you see in Walmart. Every creature! We are “… epistles known and read of all men.” ~2 Corinthians 3:2. We are commissioned by Christ to spread the word of salvation! And remember, Living a sermon is more effective than just Preaching one.
What kinds of hobbies do you enjoy? Are you involved in any sports? How do you spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
