Yesterday evening was lovely- not quite as warm as I would like, but I can’t complain! My dad mowed the lawn, and now our yard looks a hundred times better!
I put together a short action scavenger hunt for the youngsters, which wasn’t that great, but it kept them moving! Stuff like “find an acorn” or “draw a four leaf clover with chalk” and “do ten jumping jacks”, a few different things like that.
The boys then played catch for a little while, and they were nice enough to let me join them for a bit. I must say, Mr. C was putting my catching abilities to shame! And I thought I was good at baseball. Mr. C could be a legendary player if he keeps working as hard as he is. Two (or is it three?) years ago, when he first started in t-ball, they incorporated a bit of coach pitch and my little brother would whack nearly every baseball that came his way! He has a good eye when it comes to strikes and balls. I’m not biased, he really is good for his age!
Around sunset, it is a good time to bring out the camera, so that’s just what I did! Lovely, soft, warm, glowy lighting! I got this picture of an aging dandelion framed by the setting sun. I think it’s really cool. If it’s not, just leave me in my folly. I wish the stem was lit a bit better. I tried all the tricks I knew of, but I just couldn’t get it. Despite that, I am pleased with my results.
We also had a bonfire last night. The fire was kinda small and pathetic, but hey, we had a nice time as a family. It had certainly cooled down, so I was a bit chilled. Then I got some socks and mud boots on in exchange for my crocs. Silly me.
While we enjoyed our cocoa and coffee (yuck!), we enjoyed our time of stargazing; and wondered why in the world there were fifty planes in the same vicinity of the sky that time of night. Lol! 😊
We then had a conversation of how excited we are to finally meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face! Heaven is going to be so wonderful!
I beg of you, dear readers, please don’t pass up such an opportunity! I’d rather suffer here in this world because I’m a Christian and go to live in Heaven for eternity, than have everything this world offers and spend a long torture in a hell full of wickedness and hate. I’m not judging anyone. I don’t know who all is going to make it to Heaven and who won’t. Only God knows that. I only want everyone to come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to find true peace, happiness, and contentment. Will I meet you in Heaven at the blessed feet of Jesus?
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” ~Romans 10:9
